The New Indian Express (TNIE) Group was back with the biggest education conclave of the country, ThinkEdu, in January 2018. The theme for this year's Conclave was RISE INDIA (Research, Innovation, Skills & Entrepreneurship in Education), and the intent was to stimulate meaningful discussions about creating a world-class education system in India. The Conclave was inaugurated by the Vice-President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu, at 11.00 am on January 17, 2018. The venue, like always, was ITC Grand Chola, Chennai.
The TNIE Group has been organizing the national-level education meet since 2013. Our previous speakers have included the late President Dr APJ Kalam, former Vice-President M Hamid Ansari, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, policymakers, educationists and edupreneurs, along with social scientists and spiritual leaders. All our previous editions were extremely impactful. The Sixth Edition, in 2018, was even more so, given the speakers' list and the thought-provoking topics of discussion.
